Conversations about music for polka| do you care if others can hear your music? | | When I'm on public transport, I can always hear other people listening to their music on their phones or ipods. It sometimes annoys me if it is the kind of music that I don't really like.However, I get very self conscious when people can hear my music. I have a slight deafness in one ear which means that my music often has to be louder than most peoples.. but when I listen to it in the car my younger brother always hums along to whatever I'm listening to. I hate people being able to hear my music, and I know that he only does it to annoy me..But it makes me wonder, why would people in public play theirs so loud? | |

| | They never change the music at my job | | I work in a grocery store and everyday i work,it is the same music.The same songs they have allready played a million billion times it seems.They use cd's,not satallite radio.The highest ranked store manager chooses the music and he is around 60 and very un-hip by nature.Totally the all business and all work and no play type.The total music compilation is spread onto 2 cd's,maybe,MAYBE 3,at the most.
Every song they play i've allready heard so many times.I started there in november of last year and i am extremely seriously contemplating either a transfer to another affiliated town or a switch alltogether in companies.From a technical humanistic standpoint,They urgently need to update the music.
As crazy as this sounds,I truly feel that this feels like cruel and unusual punishment from a mental standpoint.And being that i consider myself spiritual,it is also punishing from a spiritual standpoint.I Really feel annoyed very often with the redundance and monotony.It just feels very unfair that only the top level manager has all the say in what they play.There is so much other music out there and another thing is that i will conclude that many would say to me,"Well,you work there... | |

Well, I did, before my CD Player broke just recently but when I get a new one, it will again. What can I say, I have to have my tunes when I go for a stroll outside. There are many moral and ethical implications involved with downloading music and I would love to hear your thoughts on the matter.I do download music but I end up buying the albums that I appreciate and like as I enjoy giving back to the artists for all their hard work.So in my case, I check to see if I like it before buying it.
